Permanent Jewelry FAQs

The Basics of Permanent Jewelry

Permanent jewelry is definitely one of the more unique trends to emerge in recent years, offering a stylish and hassle-free way to wear jewelry without the worry of clasps or taking pieces off. The process involves welding a chosen chain (bracelet, necklace, or anklet) that’s been measured to a perfect fit, ensuring that it stays put without the need for any clasps. Need to take it off for any reason? Simply cut where it was welded and save to chain so it can be rewelded back on!

Once you’ve chosen your piece, material (such as 14k gold-filled or sterling silver), and any charms or connectors, we carefully weld both ends together, creating a seamless, custom, secure fit that’s both comfortable and stylish.

Absolutely, it’s completely safe. We prioritize both safety and comfort throughout the process, using protective measures such as leather padding and safety goggles to ensure you’re comfortable.

Not a bit! We use a painless micro welder that uses a small electrical current. In just a split second, your jewelry is securely bonded— and you won’t feel any discomfort!

We use 14k gold-filled and sterling silver chains, which are perfect for permanent jewelry. These materials are hypoallergenic, tarnish-resistant, and highly durable, making them ideal for long-lasting wear.

With proper care, permanent jewelry can last for years, or even indefinitely. However, some pieces may need occasional adjustments or replacements over time.

Yep! If you prefer a removable option, we can add a clasp for your convenience.

No problem! Simply cut the chain at the connecting link, and you can keep it for future re-welding. Just bring it in, and for a small fee, we’ll weld it back together so it’s permanent once again.

Definitely! You can wear your permanent jewelry through airport security without any issues.

We’re very selective about the materials we use for permanent jewelry.

14k gold-filled chain is highly resistant to tarnishing, making it an excellent choice for lasting wear. While it’s rare, factors like your body’s pH or prolonged exposure to chemicals could cause slight tarnishing. To keep it sparkling, simply wash your jewelry with mild soap and water.

Sterling silver actually improves with wear. The natural oils and friction from your skin help maintain its shine. If it starts to lose its luster, just give it a quick rub with a polishing cloth to restore its brilliance.
